"Maybe I can come back in a couple of years....."
That's what Tony Bennett told a sold out audience Wednesday night. And I'm sure that the 80-something singer would certainly draw the same enthusiastic response. Tony wowed a crowd with an evening of favorites, including "The Best Is Yet To Come," "I Got Rythem" and his signature "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." Tony also showed off a couple of dance moves on stage.
Praising the Theatre's acoustics, he had his mic turned off at one point to sing without any amplification. The audience ate it up. Defending venues such as ours, venues that were saved from the wrecking ball, Tony add, "If there are any city fathers in the audience, please don't turn this beautiful place into an insurance company."
